✈️ Navigating JNB: Your Terminal Guide
JNB is a bustling hub, but getting around is easier than you think. The airport is mainly divided into two terminals, with a central area connecting them for seamless transfers:
- International Terminal (Terminal A): This is where all international departures and arrivals happen. You’ll find check-in and immigration here.
- Domestic Terminal (Terminal B): All flights within South Africa operate from this terminal. It’s a short walk from Terminal A.
- Central Terminal Building: This vibrant area links Terminal A and B, offering a wide array of shops, restaurants, and access to the Gautrain station.
Handy Tip: International Departures are typically on the upper levels of Terminal A, while Arrivals are on the lower level. Domestic operations follow a similar logic in Terminal B!

🚗 Transport & Parking
Getting to and from O.R. Tambo is a breeze with multiple convenient options:
- Car Rentals: All major car hire agencies are conveniently located in the Multi-Storey Parkade, directly opposite the Central Terminal Building.
- Gautrain, Taxis & Shuttles: The Gautrain station is right in the Central Terminal, offering a fast link to Sandton and Pretoria. You’ll also find official airport taxis and various shuttle services just outside the arrivals halls.
- Airport Parking: With a range of options from short-term shaded bays to multi-storey parkades and long-term secure parking, finding the perfect spot for your vehicle is always easy.
